Purple Dragon

Purple Dragon, London’s premier family members club and kindergarten, is delighted to sponsor learning through play at the 2009 Independent Schools Show.

The club, for children aged 0 to 12 years, is a beautiful, bright and spacious haven for families with state of the art facilities and highly skilled, dedicated staff.  Whatever your child’s age – and whatever their interests  - this amazing 10,500 square foot site beside Battersea Park really does have something for everyone.

Is your child the creative type? At Purple Dragon budding drama queens are put through their paces at a whole host of sessions that incorporate storytelling, dance, culture and drama. Wannabe Westwoods are able to choose from class options that include costume design, fashion styling and three-dimensional design. Budding music maestros meanwhile can master the guitar, take a class in song composition, tackle the drum kit or lay down tracks in the recording studio.

Cookery, nature, sport, yoga, languages …. the options are seemingly endless. So too are the opportunities to just kick back and relax, whether it’s splashing about in the wet play zone, making your mark on the graffiti wall or chilling with the latest PS3 games.  The adults aren’t forgotten and can book in for Pilates, kick boxing, yoga, parent coaching, first aid, cookery and a host of beauty treatments.

Eating well as a family is central to the Purple Dragon philosophy and having worked up an appetite at the club, families can eat well together in our all day brasserie serving seasonal, locally sourced and organic produce overseen by our Michelin starred resident foodie and uber-cook Seb.

This September Purple Dragon opened its own dedicated kindergarten for 2-5 year olds which sits alongside the club.  The focus is on learning through play and nurturing each child’s individuality in a safe, creative and caring environment that stimulates imagination and bolsters confidence.  The curriculum is designed to underpin key academic and life skills and supports the emotional, physical, social, intellectual and creative development of each child.

With 5% of everything spent at the club going to The Out of School Project, the club’s very own charity, you’re doing good whilst having fun.  The charity aims to provide safe havens in dangerous communities where children can learn skills to help combat poverty and have a little fun.

Club Membership starts from just £29 per week, with day memberships at £40. To book a tour or find out more please contact us on 020 7801 8688, visit our website at purpledragonplay.com.
