Haileybury is an academically selective school and entrance to the school is by competitive examinations for Year 7, 9, 12 entry. Occasionally pupils can be admitted to the school in Years 8 & 10 subject to availability. The Haileybury curriculum follows the normal path to GCSEs in Year 11, followed by a choice of A level courses or the IB Diploma Programme in the Sixth Form. The School also offers a taught series of timetabled extended projects and academic enrichment electives.
